The one that hasn’t stopped searching through Pinterest for tips and tricks to help this special day be everything you’ve been dreaming of. You’ve been putting so much love, care and effort into making sure your plans are perfect because you can’t afford for anything to go wrong. I see you and I know how much of a wedding planning whirlwind you’re in.

Because we all hear those horror stories, right? The ones about something happening on a wedding day and suddenly nothing goes the way it was planned. Or the ones about someone or something running late and suddenly it’s sunset and you still haven’t captured the pictures you’ve been dying to have. You’re worried your wedding day may be like this and are doing everything you can to prevent it from happening. Trust me, these horror stories may scare us, BUT I’m going to tell you three tips you can do to make sure everything goes smoothly and absolutely stress-free once your wedding day arrives!

One of my favorite parts of being a wedding photographer is when I get to photograph weddings in a new place! So, you can imagine my excitement when I found out I would be photographing Katie and Adam’s wedding at the LDS Temple in Phoenix! However, the perfection of this day went far beyond their location!

Their marriage created an atmosphere that radiated excitement. From the moment the doors of the temple opened, everyone knew the two of them were so ready to be married. When they came out, they had the biggest smiles, Adam proudly raised his arm in the air and their families cheered ecstatically!

Oh, goodness, where do I start with this wedding day? Crystal and Steve decided to have their wedding at a gorgeous cabin in Flagstaff, Arizona and it couldn’t have been a more beautiful day! Whether it was the surrounding pines, all the pretty details OR the horses that were in the field next to us – everything couldn’t have been more perfect! 

SO. When I was attending NAU, there would often be questions in my photography classes that were like, “WHAT KIND OF PHOTOGRAPHY CAREER DO YOU WANT?” And, “HOW ARE YOU GOING TO ACHIEVE THIS GOAL?” …Except maybe it wasn’t as dramatic or in all caps, but that’s how I read it because I decided early on I wanted to pursue wedding photography, but literally had no idea how accomplish it. I didn’t have much of a wedding portfolio, I didn’t have a website and my Instagram was all over the place. So, with alllll those lovely odds in my favor, I had to figure out a plan to help me accomplish my dream.
