The blog

Oh, goodness time has flown since I met this sweet girl a year ago when I photographed her and Zach’s couples session! I remember thinking how wonderfully kind she was and how much her and Zach made me laugh. I had so much fun photographing them that I wanted to make sure we kept in contact! Ever since then, she’s been an amazing friend and a continuous source of positivity and encouragement!

Before anything, let’s be real – getting your picture taken is kind of intimidating! Even being a photographer, I still get nervous getting my portraits done! Because of this, clients sometimes have a hard time smiling naturally, making it a challenge to capture their genuine expressions! BUT. If we, as photographers, know our clients are going to get a little nervous before their session, we can take charge to help ease their nerves and keep their energy up!

How to Capture Genuine Expressions | Photography Education

Hi there! I’m a little over-the-top excited because this is my first ever blog post on the Exhilaration Photography website (cue confetti)! I’ve been a little nervous about creating my first post mostly because I’m kind of terrible at talking about myself. Which sounds strange because nothing should be easier than telling a bunch of people who you are and what you’re about. I think I enjoy learning more about others, so I tend to jump right into wanting to hear everything about them before even mentioning anything about me!
